Versatile Fruit Salad

2 eggs, beaten
2 tablespoons white vinegar
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1/4 cup sugar
2 tablespoons butter
2 cups miniature marshmallows
2 cups diced fresh fruit
2 cups canned pineapple tidbits, drained
1 cup heavy cream, whipped

Cook eggs, vinegar, lemon juice and sugar in double boiler until thick. (Mixture will thicken quickly.) Remove from heat; while still hot, add butter and marshmallows and stir until marshmallows melt. Allow to cool. Fold in fresh fruit of your choice, pineapple and whipped cream. Turn into individual molds or a glass serving bowl and chill overnight. Suggested combinations of fresh fruit-strawberries, green grapes and peaches in summer or orange sections and bananas in winter. Canned fruit, well drained, will also give good results.
