1/2 cup Butter Flavor CRISCO All-Vegetable Shortening, or 1/2 Butter Flavor Crisco stick
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup dairy sour cream
1 egg
1 tablespoon maraschino cherry juice
3/4 teaspoon vanilla
1 -1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1/4 cup well drained chopped maraschino cherries

Heat oven to 375ºF.
Combine Butter Flavor Crisco, brown sugar and granulated sugar in large bowl. Beat at medium speed of electric mixer until well blended. Beat in sour cream, egg, cherry juice and vanilla.
Combine flour, baking soda and salt. Mix into creamed mixture at low speed until well blended. Stir in chocolate chips, nuts and cherries.
Drop rounded tablespoonfuls of dough 2 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheet.
Bake at 375ºF for 10 to 12 minutes, or until set. Cool 2 minutes on baking sheet. Remove to cooling rack.
