Favorite Holiday Movies

Everyone likes a good holiday movie. Here are 15 of our family favorites.

By FamilyTime

Every year Hollywood comes out with a few new Christmas movies, most of them geared for the family. While going to the movies is a treat for everyone -- nothing beats sitting in a dark theater while a huge screen glitters and shimmers with make believe and engrossing stories -- there are times when watching a film at home is a better choice.

Clearly it’s less of a financial outlay to rent or download a movie and watch it in the comfort of home. And the snacks are a lot less costly, too! If the little ones get bored or tired, they can simply fall asleep.

We have rounded up a list of 15 holiday family favorites. Some, such as It’s a Wonderful Life and Little Women, will appeal more to older kids, while others, such as Frosty the Snowman and The Muppet Christmas Carol, are aimed at tots.

All the films are entirely suitable for family viewing. So, make hot chocolate or pop some corn, settle on the sofa and get ready for some outstanding family entertainment.

Happy holidays!
